The nomenclature “Father Time” pays homage to the iconic Father Time weathervane adorning the Lord’s clock tower, presented to the club in 1926. Hence, the limited production of 1,926 pieces is a nod to this historical association, as evidenced by the numbered stainless steel case back featuring Father Time overseeing a set of stumps. The cast-iron figure is said to represent Law 12.3 of the Laws of Cricket: “After the call of Time, the bails shall be removed from both wickets.” This signals the end of the day’s play.
